Facilities

Four rooms are located on the ground floor for service users that require wheelchair access or those with limited mobility.  Also, located on the ground floor is a walk in shower room and toilet facility and a modern temperature controlled jacuzzi/spa bath with shower attachment, hoist and chair facilities.  The remaining six bedrooms are located on the first floor and are all of similar size.  All rooms have TV’s with built in DVD players and Freeview.  There are also three bathrooms on the first floor with bath shower and toilet facilities.

Westminster House offers day support and respite stays and incorporates a range of social and leisure activities across the Island. There is use of a minibus that caters for six and has two wheelchair user spaces accessible via an electronic tail lift.

Main meals are available as well as light lunches.  Packed lunches are also available which can be made up upon request.  Activities are also available in house, with use of the main communal lounge area with TV, DVD player, Wii games console, computer and internet access and a jukebox.  In addition there is a quiet area with large TV and DVD player and a conservatory with TV and DVD player.

For the summer months there is use of a large garden area for outdoor games, barbecues and other events, as well as seating areas for dining or relaxing outdoors.

Upstairs there is a flat area, where individuals are able to enhance their life skills via use of the kitchen facilities.
