Answer: The drug and alcohol recovery service is delivered by Inclusion, Isle of Wight (see weblink). They provide a free, confidential and easy to access service to all age groups on the Isle of Wight who are using, or affected by someone else’s use of alcohol or drugs.

Question: Exercise on Referral - Customer enquiry regarding Exercise on Referral with 1Leisure.

Answer: The Exercise on Referral scheme is operated by 1Leisure. The Exercise on Referral programme is not a free service.
What is offered under the scheme membership:
• Unlimited use of the 1Leisure facilities at Medina, The Heights and Westridge.
• Advice on the best exercise to suit the patient’s needs and interests. For example: gym, swimming, fitness classes, circuit training, and more.
• One-to-one support from a qualified instructor. (Number of one-to-ones will be dependent on instructor’s assessment of need).
• Free parking permit for the facilities.
• Free gym induction.
For the Exercise on Referral programme:
• There is a £10 joining fee.
• 50% discount for the first four months. This discount is on normal and concessionary membership fees, but it is only available for those paying by direct debit.
• For membership fees and concessions please visit our 1Leisure website.
Please note patients cannot self-refer. Please speak to a healthcare practitioner for more information.

Question: Domestic Abuse - Definition

Answer: Domestic abuse involves any single incident or pattern of conduct where someone’s behaviour towards another is abusive, and where the people involved are aged 16 or over and are, or have been, personally connected to each other (regardless of gender or sexuality).

The abuse can involve, but is not limited to psychological, physical, sexual, financial, emotional, threatening and controlling and coercive behaviour.

Question: Domestic Abuse - How can I report an incident of Domestic Abuse?

Answer: If you are in immediate danger, call 999 and asked for the Police.
If you can’t speak and are calling on a mobile, press 55 to have your call transferred to the Police.
Help and support is also available if you are not in immediate danger.
If domestic abuse is happening to you, you are not alone.
If you are a victim/survivor of Domestic Abuse, you can report online to the Police, or by calling 101 or by attending your local police station.

Question: Domestic Abuse - I’m concerned about a child who is being exposed to incidents of Domestic Violence/Abuse. Who should I report this to?

Answer: Please follow the Isle of Wight pathway:
If you are worried a child is, or at risk of, suffering, neglect or abuse please contact the Children's Reception Team on 0300 300 0117 (available 24 hours a day).
You do not need to know everything about the child before contacting the Children's Reception Team.
If you are concerned, it is important that you talk to someone about this.
You can also contact the NSPCC if you are worried about a child or to report abuse on 0808 800 5000. Children can contact Childline 24/07 0800 1111

Answer: The National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV) specialise in providing free, fast, and effective support to victims/survivors of Domestic Abuse by helping individuals obtain injunctions from their local county court.
