Westminster House is a well established respite centre for adults with learning disabilities based in Newport. It provides respite for up to ten individuals and can cater for a wide range of physical and learning disabilities. The centre accommodates adults between the ages of 18 and 65 and is able to offer transitional visits for individuals leaving children’s services and entering adult services to help aid moving between the two services with as little impact as possible.

Westminster House offers services for those requiring:

  • Regular respite breaks.
  • Convalescent care.
  • Holiday Respite.
  • Emergency placements.
  • Day care.

These services help to provide respite for both individuals and their parents/carers at a mutually agreed pattern, chosen and agreed by all parties. Access to Westminster House is via a referral system, for more information please take a look at the 'Referrals and Assessments' tab above.
