Environmental Health - Environmental Protection

Environment Protection

Environmental Protection is part of the Environmental Health Service which considers and deals with the effects of pollution. The service investigates incidents and complaints around nuisances (for example noise, light, smoke and odour), undertakes monitoring of pollution levels (for example air quality), responds to planning or licensing consultations likely to affect the environment (for example contaminated land) and issues permits under the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Regime or Petroleum Licensing.

This service is part of our development to improve our website and can now be found on our new beta website.
