As our Service Manager for Housing, you will do more than oversee housing services — you will transform lives, foster independence, and make a lasting impact on the people and communities who draw on the care and support they need, in the way that they need it.  

By adopting a person-centred approach, you will lead parts of the housing transformation programme, ensuring responsive, effective, and safe housing services that meet individual needs.

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and effective leader for this crucial role, to lead, develop and operationally manage three housing teams: Housing Options, Housing Delivery and Choice Based Lettings.  

You will need  

  • A Degree in housing related area (or equivalent qualification).  

  • Detailed knowledge of housing issues, national guidance and statutory requirements  

  • Substantial experience of working in complex and sensitive situations, in a calm and proactive manner.  

  • Extensive understanding of homelessness and /or housing renewal.  

  • Experience of change management and enhancing organisational performance  

  • Previous experience of managing and delivering services, ideally within a multi-agency setting.  

  • The skill to ensure policies and procedures are compliant, to deliver consistent and lawful application of policy into service delivery.
