We have 56 total weekly hours available for Support Workers to join us at the Gouldings Resource Centre on a permanent contract, meaning we are flexible in how these hours are split to meet both the skill set of the current team and the needs of the service for the right candidate(s). Our full time equivalent weekly contract is 37 hour per week.

 

Following significant investment, our newly refurbished Gouldings Resource Centre in Freshwater is looking for Support Workers. A scenic 20-minute journey from Newport and directly on a main bus route, we are seeking to recruit team members to join us to deliver outstanding reablement support alongside crisis and respite care to the 23 people who use our services.

 

You will work directly with the people staying at the home to identify and achieve their own goals and help them on their journey to independence. The role is a rewarding, dynamic and versatile. You will be working with individuals and other colleagues ensuring the service we offer is effective to meet people’s needs in a ‘do with’ way rather than A ‘do for’.

We will provide you with unrivalled support through supervision and a fantastic learning and development offer.

  • If you have a level 2 diploma in health and social care, that’s great but if not, we will help you achieve it.
  • A good knowledge of literacy and numeracy is also essential but again, we can help you there if you need it.
