Medina House is a Primary Special School for children with complex learning difficulties aged 4-11. We have an exciting opportunity to be part of our team as a Teaching Assistant. Work for 5 days per week, Term time from 6th January 2025. Hours to be worked 08:30-15:00 pm daily except on a Wednesday which will be 08:30-16:00. The successful candidate will be friendly with a ‘can-do’ attitude. You will be well presented and prepared to get stuck in. You will work alongside the Class Teachers and other TA’s at our three school sites to ensure that Medina House Children have the best possible learning experience. Please note that this role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The employer will be the Isle of Wight Council and employment is on Isle of Wight terms and conditions. Hampshire County Council delivers, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, all of its children’s services functions and did so for an agreed period of five years from 1 July 2013, the original five year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years. The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
