Our high performing Creditor Payments Team at the Isle of Wight Council is responsible for processing information received from Council suppliers and service departments in relation to requests for payment, and now we need an enthusiastic committed Creditors Assistant to join us.

 

Duties will include:

  • Input/processing of payment documents
  • Liaison with colleagues in the wider Council teams and Creditors to the Council
  • Providing information to Team Leaders of any complex queries on payments

 

If successful, you’ll be essential in ensuring the correct payments to the Councils Creditors & Individuals are made. You will need to demonstrate the following:

  •  A good eye for detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable team working skills
  • The ability to work to strict deadlines in a performance driven environment
  • Ability to understand regulations and apply this when making payments

Previous experience of working in an admin or financial environment would be an advantage.

A minimum qualification of 4 GCSE’S Grade A-C to include English and Maths or equivalent are required.
