The council are looking for a Transport Strategy Officer who will play a leading role in what is both locally and nationally a very dynamic area.
This is a senior role within the Transport Team, to assist the Transport Strategy Manager and the wider management team with developing transport strategies and policies. You will primarily assist with development of our next Local Transport Plan (LTP4). This involves working with teams across the Council to develop new policies and strategies; providing evidence for them and advising our decision makers; and engaging with stakeholders to achieve local support.
As a senior officer within the small transport team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in and lead on other transport projects covering a variety of subject areas such as public transport, decarbonisation of transport and active travel.
