Hours: 37 per week

Do you want to have a once in a career opportunity to be part of the team setting up a brand new educational psychology department within the new Children’s Services Directorate at the Isle of Wight Council?
What will you be doing?
- Be part of the team who will set up the Educational Psychology Service.
- Be part of the strategic projects the Educational Psychology Service lead on.
- Develop and apply knowledge and skills in assessment, monitoring and tracking progress of children and young people with SEN.
- Support in the development of developing and monitoring service planning, including KPI’s and statutory timeframes.
- Be part of developing a traded offer.
- Represent the EP Service within the various meetings and partnerships.
- Work with senior colleagues to drive forward the Education Strategy.
- Work with senior colleagues to improve SEN provision across the Island and contribute towards our Safety Valve work.
- Have a wide range of work including statutory and non-statutory work.
About you
- A qualified Educational Psychologist.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to access face to face meetings locally.
- High quality verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to ensuring children and young people across the Isle of Wight achieve their best outcomes and develop into independent adults.
