Contract Type: Fixed Term (9 months)
Hours: 37 per week
Working in one of the council’s most high priority areas, the Household Support Fund team is looking for a confident, experienced Admin Support Officer. The successful candidate will assist with the administration of the DWP Household Support Fund, to benefit vulnerable Island residents with the rising cost of food, utilities, and wider essentials. This role is varied, and no two days will be the same.
This role requires the following skills;
• Excellent relevant administration and organisation skills in an office environment
• Confident using MS Office packages (Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)
• Good numeracy skills and comfortable handling data
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
We are looking for an individual familiar with the pressures of a fast-paced working environment where deadlines need to be met and staff can work proactively and independently. Prior experience of the workings of a government grant would be an advantage but is not essential. Please view the job summary for more information.
Due to grant conditions, this is currently a fixed term post but has the possibility of becoming permanent.

You will be required to take part in the Out of Hours Stand-by Duty Rota as and when requested by management. Standby and call out duties are paid in accordance with the IWC Terms and Conditions 2012 document.
