Hours: 22 per week

The Isle of Wight Council Bedded Reablement service is looking for an innovative and dynamic Kitchen Assistant to work alongside and support the Cook- in-Charge and your fellow culinary colleagues.               

Located in Freshwater, The Goulding’s Resource Centre is a 20-minute scenic drive from Newport and situated directly on a main bus route. There you will be helping to not only prepare, cook and serve meals, but you will help develop a diverse, nutritious, and inviting menu to support up to 23 client’s nutritional health as they undertake their journey within the

Resource Centre.

 

We are looking to appoint an individual with excellent listening and observational skills and awareness of the varying nutritional needs and/or the challenges faced by people who need care and support.

 

It would be helpful to have previous experience in the catering industry and you will be expected to hold or undertake infection control and food hygiene training. You will have a passion for your vocation and people as well as the ability to prioritise workloads in a busy environment. You will be supported with full training, regular structured supervision, and Development Opportunities.

PLEASE NOTE: Out of Hours Standby and Call Out

You will be required to take part in the Out of Hours Stand-by Duty Rota as and when requested by management.  Standby and call out duties are paid in accordance with the IWC Terms and Conditions 2012 document.
