We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and authoritative Senior Commissioning Officer to join our Adult Social Care and Housing Needs Commissioning Team. Your role will be to develop creative solutions, fit for the future that enable people living on the Isle of Wight to have the best opportunity to live independent and fulfilling lives.
Requirements
Working alongside individuals, carers, families, 3rd sector organisations and the wider community, you will co-produce innovative solutions to ensure the right support is delivered in the right way and in the right place. In this role you will need to: -
- Lead and motivate others.
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of a range of social care provision.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of people who access this support.
- Have excellent communication, problem solving, report writing and negotiation skills.
- Be able to analyse and interpret data.
- Navigate budgetary considerations to ensure effective allocation of resources.
- Be able to provide advice and support to individuals and families, provider organisations, other statutory agencies, and relevant professional bodies.

You will be required to take part in the Out of Hours Stand-by Duty Rota as and when requested by management. Standby and call out duties are paid in accordance with the IWC Terms and Conditions 2012 document.

Relocation: For some vacancies (subject to criteria) a relocation scheme of up to £8,000 may be available if you are specifically relocating to the Isle of Wight to work with us, or if you choose to commute to the Isle of Wight daily, you may be eligible to have some travel costs reimbursed.
