Grade 4, £23,500 to £23,893 per annum pro rata (14hr salary: £8,891.89 to £9,040.59 per annum)

Allowances: Shift allowance, 10% of plain time beyond core hours.

At Saxonbury you’ll be surrounded by colleagues who make FUN the focus every day, as you support one another to enable people to build their life skills and lead fulfilling, happy lives.


We need a positive, committed, and forward-thinking Support Workers to join this authority-run home in for adults with a learning disability and 'Behaviours that Challenge'. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality service to the individuals, with a person-centred approach actively supporting and maximising independence and life experience.


Duties will include personal care, dressing, washing, toileting etc. Our support workers are also kept busy each day with enriching activities and events designed to ensure that each day is the best it can be for the people living in our care.


From picnics on the beach, parties in the dining room, sporting activities from golf to frisbee, cooking, gardening and so much more, there is always something fun happening at the Saxonbury and you can be a part of it.

You'll need to be a strong communicator with a clear commitment to excellence and an obvious passion for working in a caring environment. You will need to build a strong relationship with the individual you support, understanding their unique needs and pro-actively working to ensure the best quality of life.

It is important that our residents have access to a wide range of community activities, and we therefore welcome applications from people who can drive vehicles used by the residents in the home.

Shift patterns will be a variation of the below:

07:00-14:30

07:15-14:45

0730-1500

14:30-22:00

PLEASE NOTE: Out of Hours Standby and Call Out

You will be required to take part in the Out of Hours Stand-by Duty Rota as and when requested by management.  Standby and call out duties are paid in accordance with the IWC Terms and Conditions 2012 document.

Relocation: For some vacancies (subject to criteria) a relocation scheme of up to £8,000 may be available if you are specifically relocating to the Isle of Wight to work with us, or if you choose to commute to the Isle of Wight daily, you may be eligible to have some travel costs reimbursed.
