Beaulieu House is a Children’s Home for children with disabilities and behaviours that challenge, and we have consistently been graded “Good” by Ofsted.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager who is seeking a rewarding and challenging role within management or maybe ready to take the next step into management.

Our home has a Children’s Home with six beds, and Short Breaks unit offering families overnight respite. We work with a wide range of young people with varying learning disabilities, health needs and behaviours that challenge. We look to enrich our young people’s lives with new, fun experiences and to develop their skills, knowledge and increasing independence through life skills. We want our young people to feel safe, secure and offer an environment where they can thrive.

As Deputy Manager your role will be to lead and develop the Children’s home and support the service to become an Outstanding setting for the young people and the staff team. The role requires the successful candidate to oversee a large staff and support them to improve the quality of life of the young people living at Beaulieu House.

 

The ideal candidate will hold these qualities:

 

To be child focused - tracking the young people’s progression and being innovative to improve the quality of life for our young people.

 

Have good leadership skills to oversee a large team of staff and supervision of the Senior Team.

 

Organisation and prioritisation are a must.

 

IT skills – completing reports, recordings, and functional analysis in a timely manner and to deadlines.

 

Good communication skills with staff members, families, multi-agency team and professionals.

 

To work alongside managers ensuring the home follows IWC policies and procedures and working in line with Children’s Home regulations.

 

Have knowledge or willing to learn the Social Care Common Inspection Framework, Children’s Home regulations. To able you to support the service achieve Good to Outstanding during Ofsted inspections.

 

The candidate must be willing to work towards a QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care

 

The role requires to work Monday to Friday 0900 – 1630 and be on-call for advice.
