Hours: 37.5 per week

 

The Local Authority is investing in Special Educational Needs across the Island and is increasing the capacity within the Assessment & Review Team. 

 

As a result, we are looking for:

2 – SEN Casework Officers

The role is to support the service to fulfil the local authority’s statutory obligation to assess, meet and review the needs of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), through engagement with families and support professionals across the Isle of Wight.

You will have excellent people skills as you will need to work closely with a range of professionals, families, and colleagues. You will need to have excellent organisational skills as this is a fast moving, complex and ever-growing service.

You will need to be able to interrogate complex reports and use data to plan and prioritise the work of your team. You will need to understand and work within the SEN Regulations and the SEN Code of Practice. 

This role requires a level of DBS check.
