Hours: 1 x 18.5 and 1 x 37 per week

 

Can you support residents of the Isle of Wight and actively listen to what is important to them? Ensuring that they gain the right support at the right time and in the right place. Can you give guidance to restore meaningful activities so that individuals can lead fulfilling lives within our community?

We have an exciting opportunity available within Adult Social Care Isle of Wight. We are seeking qualified, skilled, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Occupational Therapists to join our community occupational therapy service.

The role encompasses the following:

• Working across the Isle of Wight to provide Occupational Therapy input to a wide variety of disabled people including elderly, learning disabilities, dementia, neurological conditions, and some paediatrics.   

• Assess those that are Care Act eligible and providing equipment, advice, and support, moving and handling assessments, single handed care assessments, referrals for DFG’s.

• We also complete Blue Badge assessments for the council.

Our occupational therapy service team have a positive, supportive culture and working environment. We hold a monthly CPD meeting and evidence-based practice is at the heart of what we do. We as a team are continuously improving our service and practice to best serve the clients we have. We also hold a flexible working policy and actively support work/life balance.

You will be part of a progressive team, using an enabling, adaptive approach, supporting people to live in their own homes where-ever possible, and in the least restrictive way.

PLEASE NOTE: Out of Hours Standby and Call Out

You will be required to take part in the Out of Hours Stand-by Duty Rota as and when requested by management.  Standby and call out duties are paid in accordance with the IWC Terms and Conditions 2012 document.
