Start a new career with the Isle of Wight Council!

We are looking for three apprentices to join our busy Revenues and Benefits team. You will work towards a Business Administrator Level 3 qualification as you learn how to provide administration support to the following areas:

  • Council Tax
  • Housing Benefit
  • Local Council Tax Support
  • Non-Domestic rates
  • Blue Badges

Once trained up you will process information relating to council tax accounts, benefit claims and blue badges, as well as answering customer enquiries on the telephone.

You’ll need to be flexible and able to work accurately and to deadlines in a performance driven environment.

The position will be a fixed term for 2 years for the period of the qualification. This is a fantastic chance to ‘earn while you learn’ and this will give practical experience as well as class-based knowledge. The knowledge and certification achieved during the apprenticeship will be a great advantage to anyone looking for a career in business administration.
