The Island Learning Centre (ILC) is a pupil referral unit that supports some of the most vulnerable young people on the island. An exciting opportunity now exists for a ICT Technician.

The ILC is a provision that supports some of the most vulnerable children on the Isle of Wight. We provide a stimulating, nurturing environment for a range of students who for a variety of reasons are unable to attend mainstream schools. This could be due to medical needs, being emotionally vulnerable or having behavioural difficulties.

We are looking for an inspirational and committed person, with a passion for ICT to help raise attainment in ICT across the school, by ensuring resources are well maintained, relevant and up to date and by ensuring that staff, pupils, and parents are supported in using ICT to support learning.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, creative individual who has high expectations of all children and what they can achieve. If you want to make a difference to children’s lives, are enthusiastic and emotionally resilient then we want to hear from you. We can offer you a dedicated staff team and opportunities for excellent personal and career development.

In return we offer:

The opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking school that supports and empowers some of the most vulnerable children on the Isle of Wight.

Be part of a friendly, supportive, and talented staff team, committed to providing an excellent education for every child.
