Salary: Hay Grade 3a-e pa £9,370- £9,474
We are currently seeking a Pre School assistant to support the Pre School Lead in providing a safe and stimulating environment for all children. The successful candidate will be required to encourage the children to take part in all activities, listen to children and assist them when needed and promote positive behaviour by positive encouragement, praise and role modelling.
We are looking for someone caring, kind, reliable, and happy to get stuck in and someone who enjoys working in a small team to provide the best possible childcare for all the children in our setting. You will be educated to GCSE level standard or equivalent with passes in English and Maths at Grade C or above. In addition, candidates must be qualified to a minimum of level 3 in early years and have experience of working in an early years setting. Ideally you will also hold a current paediatric first aid qualification or be willing to attend the necessary training to get one.

This role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
