Contract Type: Fixed Term (Maternity cover for 12 months, until 10th January 2025) Start date from:  8th January 2024

Hours: 37 per week

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and positive person to work within our busy development management section to provide maternity cover for 12 months. Specialising in dealing with minor and smaller scale major planning applications, experience of dealing with larger major planning applications would be welcomed.

 

-You will have the ability to process and assess a range of different planning proposals within rural and urban areas.

 

-You will have demonstrable experience in negotiating with a range of stakeholders, while having sound knowledge of the planning process.

 

Even though it would be for a fixed period you will be an important part of our development management team within an authority that strives for positive outcomes to build a brighter future for the Island. For the right candidate there may be the scope to extend beyond 12 months.
