Starting Date: 1st September 2023. This is a permanent position.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our team.  This will be in EYFS in the first instance. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teachers to provide high quality teaching and learning provision.

The successful candidate will need to have:

• experience of working with children 

• good English, maths, ICT, and communication skills (English and maths at Grade C equivalent or above)

• the ability to work well in a team

• a positive, flexible, ‘can do’ attitude

• loads of energy for children that want to learn and play

This role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
