Hunnyhill Primary School is looking for a qualified, experienced, inspirational, and hardworking teacher to join us based in Year 5, KS2. This is a fixed term position until August 2024. 

You will be passionate and committed to raising the achievement of all children and will be willing to work as part of a team, share good practice and be ‘Proud to Belong’.  In addition, you will be dedicated to setting high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour. You must be able to provide and maintain a stimulating classroom environment that promotes children’s learning and development.

We are a highly inclusive school and pride ourselves in building relationships with our families.  We feel this is fundamental to enabling all children to achieve the very best they can, therefore you will be an effective communicator with parents, children and your colleagues and be willing to contribute to the wider aspects of school life.

This role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The employer will be the Isle of Wight Council and employment is on Isle of Wight terms and conditions. Hampshire County Council has delivered, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, all of its children’s services functions and will continue to do so until 2023. The original five-year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years.

The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
