Wroxall Primary is looking to appoint an inspirational sports coach to join our forward thinking, hardworking team. This is an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth and development. This post requires an outstanding, committed individual who can motivate and inspire children to be the best of themselves both in sports activities and within the classroom.

 

The post will include setting up the school hall for lunch and leading PE for children during lunchtime, delivering afternoon sports lessons and organising and running sporting after-school clubs and fixtures. Additional hours worked for competitions/fixtures will be paid by overtime or agreed as time off in lieu.

 

Qualifications at an appropriate level to provide this support will be key to the role, however additional training can be provided. 

            

          This post could be extended to include a Learning Support Assistant role for the right candidate.

This role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The employer will be the Isle of Wight Council and employment is on Isle of Wight terms and conditions. Hampshire County Council has delivered, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, all of its children’s services functions and will continue to do so until 2023. The original five-year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years.

 

The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
