Team IWC Flexible - Casual Bank Work (Ref: TEAMIWC)

Islandwide, this is the Isle of Wight Council's Casual Bank roles, offering choice and flexibility.

Grade 2 or above depending on the role, a minimum of £12.46 per hour

Occasionally we have opportunities at the council for 'casual' working in teams across the Isle of Wight Council.  These roles are varied and can cover anything from Support Workers and Domestic Assistants in our care settings to Bikeability Instructors, Administrators and Floating Bridge Ticket Inspectors.

What is Team IWC Flexible?

In these times of rapid change, casual opportunities can arise unexpectedly, and often at short notice.  Team IWC Flexible is our ‘bank’ of local workers who we can call on to provide short term or urgent cover, across a wide variety of jobs on variable hours.

Whatever your skillset, if you are interested in casual opportunities, register for Team IWC Flexible. 

How can I join?

To register for our email alerts simply fill out the application form in the green 'How To Apply' section on this page. Let us know what skills you can offer and what kind of work would be of interest.

Once registered, we can notify you directly when new casual roles are launched, then you simply choose which roles you'd like to be considered for by responding to the email.

We will have a range of shift patterns and start dates, so if you only want to work weekends or evenings or would like to work on specific days of the week, let us know what works for you. Remember: the more flexible you are, the more opportunities you’ll have to choose from.

Casual Contracts can arise in any of our teams at any time, so from bus drivers to minute takers we predict that the jobs available in 'Team IWC Flexible' will be as diverse and varied as our permanent workforce.
