Service Description: Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes that are a mixture of employment and training. Apprenticeships provide the opportunity for young people to take a positive first step on to the career ladder, they can offer opportunities for people who are returning to work, they can offer the platform for people who want to retrain in a new career the and the chance to do gain valuable experience in a working environment while gaining nationally recognised training and qualifications.
