LADO: For those that manage allegations

Target Group:

Anyone who is the responsible for managing and responding to allegations of harm in their provision/organisation.




Course Aims:

This training will give leaders confidence in managing allegation of harm against adults who work with children. We will review the relevant legislation, policy and guidance that underpins this process and how this translates into action for individual settings. We will also explore how safer culture can act as a prevention for harm, and how providers can build safer cultures in their own settings.



Intended Impact:

As a result of attending this course, participants will be able to:

-Have a strong understanding of the managing allegations process and role of LADO
-Be clear in what’s meant by the term position of trust and regulated activity
-Understand the expectations placed on those who will respond to allegations
-Know what the cornerstones of a good investigation are
-Understand how safer culture can prevent harm
