Target Group:
This course is aimed at volunteers and professionals within Schools, higher education, Youth Work, YJS, Social Care, Residential Care services, Probation Services, Police & Local Authority.
Course Aims:
Restorative justice brings those harmed by crime or conflict and those responsible for the harm into communication, enabling everyone affected by a particular incident to play a part in repairing the harm and finding a positive way forward. This is a multiagency training for professionals and provides a good foundation for all restorative work and people-focused roles, especially those that work with children and young people. It will help to develop an understanding of conflict, and the skills to address it.
Intended Impact:
As a result of attending this course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate competence in facilitating a trauma-informed restorative process.
- Integrate a variety of conflict resolution skills into restorative facilitation.
- Facilitate a restorative conference.
