Safeguarding Adults for the Frontline Workforce

Target Group:

Aimed at all frontline staff across social care in both adult’s and children’s workforces, volunteers, fire and rescue staff, police, neighbourhoods and community organisations.



Course Aims:

To identify safeguarding concerns and to report appropriately for those whose roles fall under the ‘Alerters’ category as per ‘4LSAB Multi-agency Learning and Development Guidance for Safeguarding Adults’ (Nov 2020).



Intended Impact:

By the end of the course, you will:

• Understand the different abuse types and contexts
• Be able to recognise signs of abuse/neglect
• Be able to follow reporting procedures
• Understand your individual responsibility
• Be aware of the ethos of ‘Making Safeguarding Personal’ and Human rights in safeguarding
• Understand professional boundaries and the rules around sharing and recording information
