The Coronavirus pandemic brings with it a significant amount of uncertainty and is therefore likely to impact on children and young people in terms of their emotional wellbeing.  Children and young people may be feeling more stressed, anxious, worried and low as they absorb and react to the evolving Coronavirus situation.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Partnership of CCGs would like to remind all young people aged 11-17 yrs and living in Hampshire or the Isle of Wight, that the Think Ninja App is free and available to provide support for those struggling with mental health and emotional wellbeing in this time of uncertainty. More detail and information on Think Ninja is available in the easy read document (PDF, 81.65 KB, 1page). 

Guidance for parents and carers on supporting children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak can be found on the Gov.uk website

The Healthier Together Website provides plenty of support and advice to parents with children who need extra support.

The School Nurse team have set up a phone message service for children that are anxious or worried about the current situation. Please ring 07341868124 and leave a message, and someone will call back the lines are open Monday to Friday 9am till 4pm
