Short Breaks

Introduction

Short Breaks is a statutory service funded through Children's Services. It aims to increase activity opportunities for children and young people with disabilities. It provides a break for parents/carers while their child takes part in a safe, fun and enjoyable activity. The Short Breaks summer activity guide is available now. It gives information on activities available through the Short Breaks programme.

Short Breaks offers after-school clubs, evening and weekend activities and overnight stays. This is available up to the child or young persons 19th birthday. Short Breaks also provides a range of facilities for families to use. For example, the Short Breaks caravan at Lower Hyde.

Further information for this service can now be found on our new beta website.
