Answer: Unfortunately we do not provide this service.

Question: Is the Local Land Charges department able to receive searches electronically?

Answer: Yes – we are connected to NLIS at Level 2 and TM Search Choice Limited. We are able to receive Searches electronically together with a BACS payment. Completed searches are dispatched electronically.

Answer: Yes – by arrangement. Please telephone 01983 821000 to establish progress of Search. Before collection, authorisation from the original applicant is required

Question: How do I obtain copies of documents that have been revealed on a search?

Answer: If you require a copy of a Local Land Charge document (ie. revealed in connection with the LLC1) please contact the relevant department shown under Inspection Address on the LLC1 schedule. NB. An additional fee may be payable.

If a copy of a Planning Decision Notice is required please contact 01983 823552 quoting the relevant Application Number (TCP...). NB. An additional fee may be payable.

If a copy of a Legal Agreement is required please contact the Legal department on 01983 821000. NB. An additional fee may be payable.

Answer: Please forward all relevant paperwork, together with the relevant payment, to the Local Land Charges Section, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD.

Question: How much does a Common Land and Village Green search cost?

Answer: The Common Land and Village Green search is now part of the full search and is question 22 on the CON29 Optional form at a fee of £13.20 (inc VAT). It can be sent in as part of a search or on its own.

Question: How much does an official local authority search cost?

Answer: The Local Land Charges Register is a part of the HM Land Registry’s national register. To submit an LLC1 search request please use the HM Land registry portal. We continue to provide replies to all Con29 enquiries.
A standard Con 29 search sent in by post or email is £151.20*
Con 29 Optional enquiries cost £13.20* each.
Additional properties/areas of land are £16.80* each, up to a maximum of 13.
*Prices include 20% VAT.
