Chaperone Licences



Also known as: Performance Licence


Service Description: Under the Children & Young Persons Act 1933, the Children & Young Persons Act 1963 and the Children (Performances and Activities) (England) Regulations 2014 , all children who take part in licensed performances must be supervised by a responsible adult. If they are not supervised by a parent or gaurdian they must be supervised by an approved Chaperone who will look after children during the course of a performance, including travel to and from the event.


The Isle of Wight Council is responsible for approving applications for chaperone licences.
